Dragon's Daughter

  1. DRAGON'S DAUGHTER - A black ink and black color pencil drawing on an 11 x 14 size coquille board. It appears in "Witchcraft & Sorcery No.6, May," 1971.

This drawing is one of several that I drew to illustrate the story, "Dragon's Daughter," by E. Hoffman Price. It is one of the earliest professional assignments that I received way back in 1971. I was still living in Middlebury, Vermont, working in the research and development department at Simmonds Precision Products. I was doing these illustrations mostly during evening hours in my spare time. This early commission from a pro SF magazine was really exciting, I was actually getting paid to draw pictures now!
